About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to lead Xelix’s marketing function on a 12-15 month fixed-term basis. Proven experience scaling marketing efforts and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in a fast-growing B2B SaaS environment is essential.
Reporting directly to the CEO, working in partnership with sales, and guiding a team of six marketers, you will work collaboratively to drive marketing efforts across multiple channels to increase awareness, consideration and conversion. You should be excited about growth and focused on the end goal of almost doubling ARR YoY.
What you'll be doing
Initially, you will work alongside the current Head of Marketing to learn the ropes. Following this, you will get stuck in quickly, exercising your specialist experience in:
Event management
Over 2025, we will be working on c.60 events including third party conferences, own hosted workshops, business briefings and our flagship annual customer conference that’s set to welcome over 150 attendees. With support from two event marketers, you will oversee end-to-end event planning, ensuring world-class experiences across the board. You will also lead the charge on building our 2026 events strategy.
Demand generation
You will support and provide direction on performance marketing campaigns, website optimisation and email marketing with a firm focus on ROI. Whilst we are still heavily outbound, our goal is to increase inbound by 50% over the next 12 months.
Brand, content and communications
Leading a small content team, you will oversee a variety of content from customer advocacy pieces to live speaking engagements to PR to product comms to sales collateral and more. You will own and manage relationships with industry influencers to increase WOM opportunities. Finally, you will be the internal advisor and communications expert for the rest of the business.
Team leadership
You should set and maintain high standards of work and continue developing a high-performance culture. Coaching, providing feedback, running 1:1 development sessions and supporting the team is a key responsibility. As we scale, championing continuous improvement and finding new efficiencies will enable you to really succeed in this role.
GTM alignment
Sitting alongside the Marketing team are the Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships and Product teams. Effective collaboration with this Go-To-Market group on product updates, new releases and strategic pivots is crucial. You will be responsible for launches, enablement and collating feedback/analysis on these initiatives.
What you’ll bring
Strong experience working in B2B SaaS
In-depth knowledge of B2B SaaS buying cycles and enterprise sales processes
Strong background in B2B marketing, with expertise in events, content, communications and demand generation
Proven success managing teams and collaborating cross-functionally with other departments
Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, and agile environments with a hands-on, problem-solving approach
A background in marketing to Enterprise CFO office is advantageous
Please note: This role has potential to go permanent after contracted period
